Brave Choices, Bright Paths

This is the cover illustration for a young girls character-building curriculum called "Brave Choices, Bright Paths". The book is part of a new series by Deborah Bullock called NRG Curriculum (stands for Next Righteous Generation), which uses a unique gender-specific approach to shape the values and vision of children. I have been extremely fortunate to be able to work on the project from the ground level, first with their logo and web presence, and now through the cover illustration and interior page design for each new book.

This particular image deals with choices. Our lives frequently bring us to points of decision, and we can make choices that send us down a bright path or a dark path. The "footsteps" analogy is used throughout the course to provide a simple and clear visual for the girls. It has also been helpful for me! The self-employed life is full of decisions and I've been encouraged to really consider the impact of the choices I make.

It's amazing how things for teaching children can teach yourself!
