Raising a Modern Day Knight

Did some fun illustrations today for a couple upcoming kids events. Trying to explore some stuff I've been learning lately about light & color. This PSG Art Tutorial was insanely helpful, breaking down some of the basic principles like how color is most intense in the midtones, and then in the light and shadows it desaturates and sometimes shifts warmer or cooler.

Inspirational Art Prints - Now Available!

I've opened a small art print store on Society6 with some of my work. Initially, I'm offering two inspirational prints with Christian faith themes, however I plan to expand the shop with some of my other kinds of illustration soon.

The prints are designed to look great and last a long time, on fine art quality paper (natural white, matte, ultra smooth, 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin free archival paper to be exact). They're printed using an advanced digital dry ink method to ensure vibrant image quality, and each image is available in a range of sizes.

Check out the store and feel free to let me know if you'd like to see any other specific works for sale.

Live Painting at Alhambra's First Friday #1

It was madness at the kickoff First Friday event for the city of Alhambra. The monthly events this year will each have a theme, so for March's "Madness" theme I did my take on the Mad Hatter's tea party from Alice in Wonderland.

First Fridays will continue on April 5, the next theme is "Film". Find out more at Downtown Alhambra Events.
