Ever been to an art show with livestock? Not the taxidermy kind—but the kind that will eat your sketchbook if you're not paying attention.

Nucleus Gallery became the ZOOcleus Gallery last weekend for the opening of their new show
The Animal Kingdom. The artwork shared the floor with Stripes the zebra, a donkey named Chubbs, 2 alpacas, 2 goats, and a host of reptiles. It wasn't the
Life of Pi, but it did make for one memorable art show—and a GREAT life drawing opportunity. Here are a few sketches from the evening.

Though the live animals stole the show on opening night, the artwork was also quite excellent, with a great diversity of styles. The
show is up through March 3 in Alhambra, CA. It's definitely worth a look!
